Don’t worry if you’re not a graphic designer—most people aren’t! In this guide, we’ll explain the best file types to send and what to do if you’re not sure what you have.
The Best File Types
The better the quality of your logo, the better the finished result will be.
Ideally, we’d recommend one of these:
These are known as vector files. They can be resized without losing quality, meaning your logo will look sharp whether it’s embroidered onto a polo shirt or printed across the back of a hoodie.
Can I Use a PNG?
Yes.
A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background is often suitable for printed clothing and can sometimes be used for embroidery too.
If you’re unsure, simply send it to us and we’ll let you know.
What About JPEG Images?
JPEGs are common because they’re easy to save and share, but they aren’t always suitable for printing.
Small or blurry images can become pixelated when enlarged, resulting in poor-quality prints.
If a JPEG is all you have, don’t panic—we’ll check it for you.
I Don’t Have My Original Logo
That’s perfectly normal.
Many businesses only have the version from their website, Facebook page or email signature.
If that’s the case, send us what you have. We can often improve it or recreate it in a higher-quality format if needed.
Choosing Colours
If your business has brand colours, let us know.
We’ll do our best to match them as closely as possible, whether your clothing is being embroidered or printed.
If you’re not sure, we can also recommend colours that work well with your chosen garments.
